Sunday Night

Monday, January 10th, 2005

“Tony Tony, come around, something’s lost and must be found.”

The quote of the day is actually too dirty to post. Ask Brad what it was.

This weekend we celebrated Christine’s birthday. Thursday dinner with David. Friday party at “The Pit” (i.e. my house). It snowed and only the hardcore showed up. I won all three games of bowling, so I send a shout out to Andy Cupit… who apparently can drive to my girlfriend’s house without asking directions (FREAKY!).

Ten Minutes of peace has missed one day and failed another. I recommit. It IS working I think. I am at peace with God more than usual and full of hope. Christine really contributes, too.

I’m thinking about how to have a moneyless society and realize how limited my mind is. I can’t see how it would emerge or how it would be. I can see parts of an more evolved society, though. Is Costa Rica, with no army a model for the future? What about a critical mass of armies of folk helping the poor, aided by research such as that by Ruby Payne? A world where prisons actually rehab those untrained to think. How do we not categorize that as brainwashing? Maybe it’s only for kids. I think the Tsunami is bringing this up, too.

How do couples or families live in community throughout the world? I know such things exist, but crave to know how they suceed better than the utopias or the Catholic Workers?

Christmas day 11

first day back with the kids. I’m focused on data crunching and getting things done, just for the practice.

Met with Jim and Deb for the meeting of the year.

Ten minutes of Peace is 100% still!

Christine’s birthday is tomorrow. Party Friday. gimme a call.
