Starbucks St. Louis

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006

I have been too afraid to blog my Starbucks experience, since it might contain information too-juicy-for-corporate, or other threatening drama. I’ve been reading starbucks gossip at http://www.starbucksgossip.com , which is hilarious. My favorite topics have been the ghetto latte (ordering shots of espresso in a large cup and filling up dairy at the condiment bar) and the cup-on-a-car-roof marketeting.

Jenny Rodriguez is a funny and confident realtor/barista. Today, I said out-loud that I missed seeing her, since we now work different shifts. She commented on my typing reports. It just made me so happy that someone was reading my blog that I had to write about it.

I also wanted to share with the world how nice it is that so many customers have given us presents: personal and communal, mostly comfort food.

My experiences at different Starbucks around St. Louis have been interesting. I’ve worked at “Retail-Hell” Galleria and “Latte Factory” Brentwood this past week.

I may need to put a blocker over my hands to keep me from looking at the keys.

Yesterday, despite not posting my score here, I kicked major gulu (Italian for butt). Today, I thought about a conversation with my boss, my difficulty in understanding my computer hardware situation, and practically every letter I type. Perhaps I am called to reveiw the performance classic textbook “the Inner Game of Tennis.”
